Braces

The left side shows X-Braces that have come loose and have been poorly re-glued in a previous repair. The right side shows a split back brace.

Ex. 2 - Kona Style 1 Hawaiian Guitar
Removing the back allowed me to repair and replace some bracing on the top and back.

Neck Resets

Ex. 2 - LoPrinzi Steel String with Spanish Heel
Resetting the neck on this style of neck-joint requires removing the binding, separating the back from the neck-block, setting the desired angle, reglueing the back, trimming off the excess wood, reattaching the binding, and touching up the finish.

Pickguards

A common repair on older guitars is removing the pickguard, finishing underneath, and readhering the old one or replacing it with a new one.

Tailpiece

We made this custom tailpiece when the original broke and were unable to locate a suitable replacement. Its made honduran rosewood and mounted with a violin style tail gut.

Trussrod
